In activity since 2012, the Brazilian band Signo 13 opens 2023 by releasing
the first single from their new album, entitled “Augurios”. The track “Retrato
Ainda” will be available on digital platforms on January 13th and is a song with
electronic beats, synthesizers and organic instruments, a formula that has
rocked dance clubs and nightclubs for a long time.
The lyrics are about the recent period lived in Brazil in which fascism
hovered over the country, and also alert to this hurried and exhausting lifestyle
in big cities, where routine consists of a loop of working, shopping, paying bills.
.. “It is necessary to create a balance between the means to meet personal needs
and a healthier life, to feed dreams and create new challenges. Will the job
market be taken over by robots or will we become robots?” It reflects Felipe
Rodrigues, composer and producer of the new single. The track “Retrato Ainda”
has a lyric video that can be seen on the youtube channel, the cover was
developed by DPS Arts, an artist who had already collaborated with the work of
Signo 13 in the song “Las Puertas de La Percepción” .
The album will come in homeopathic doses, but this time it will not be like
the previous “Serpentário”, which had its tracks released as singles over 13
months between September 2019 and November 2020. The new album, which
promises to be one of the most inspired of the band’s career, comes out in full
version in the second half of 2023, but some singles will come to light before that.
