AMTHRYA
“Onnen”
Black Metal
Italian black metal band AMTHRYA have released their new album, Onnen, on 11 October 2026 via Ad Noctem Records. The album is available on digipack CD and across digital platforms.
Fronted by Kasumi Onryō, AMTHRYA are known for dissonant atmospheres and imagery rooted in Japanese folklore and mythology. “Onnen” opens a new chapter for the band and arrives alongside the introduction of a revamped line-up.
The album takes its title from the Japanese concept of Onnen (怨念), understood as deep-seated rancour or persistent hatred. AMTHRYA use that idea as the foundation for a record centred on hatred as a physical, metaphysical and universal force.
Structured as a five-act opera, “Onnen” follows that force as it spreads through reality, fuels wars, poisons spaces and eventually drives the world towards ruin.
