‘Another Life’ will be released Friday 30th October 2026, second single from Floor Noise, coming early 2027.
Birmingham genre-benders Nameless return with their brand new single ‘Another Life’, released Friday 30th October. The track is the latest glimpse into the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, Floor Noise, due for release in early 2027.
Fusing the raw aggression of nu-metal and hardcore with the atmospheric weight of shoegaze, Nameless have built a sound where chaos and beauty collide. With ‘Another Life’, the band turn their attention inwards, delivering a deeply personal exploration of exhaustion, self-condemnation and the fragile hope of finding a way forward.
Where previous single ‘Obliterate’ confronted the destructive impact of emotional manipulation and the gradual erosion of identity, ‘Another Life’ shifts the focus towards the internal struggle that follows: the weight of the past, the difficulty of self-forgiveness and the longing for a chance to start again.
At its core, ‘Another Life’ is a plea for absolution, redemption and forgiveness. Stripped of any pretence, the song captures a moment of profound vulnerability, wrestling with the parts of oneself that feel impossible to reconcile while searching for some semblance of peace.
“This song captures me at my most vulnerable, an honest reflection of where my heart is, as I navigate the lingering weight of the past and the complexities of my own thoughts,” Jordan explained.
Rather than offering easy answers, ‘Another Life’ sits within the discomfort of that uncertainty, caught between the exhaustion of confronting one’s own shortcomings and the possibility that life beyond the pain might look different. It is a song about reaching a point where the present feels almost impossible to carry, yet continuing to hold on to the hope that renewal remains within reach.
“At its core, ‘Another Life’ is a personal plea for absolution, redemption, and forgiveness. It’s about confronting the parts of myself I struggle to reconcile with, longing for peace, and holding on to the hope that, somewhere beyond the pain, there is a chance to begin again.”
That emotional honesty sits at the heart of Nameless’ appeal. Their ability to channel deeply personal experiences into a sound that balances punishing heaviness with atmospheric introspection has become a defining characteristic of the band, allowing moments of vulnerability to exist alongside their more abrasive instincts.
Formed by lifelong friends in Birmingham, Nameless have spent the last several years establishing themselves as one of the UK underground’s most uncompromising emerging acts. Their self-titled debut EP introduced a genre-defying approach that draws from nu-metal, shoegaze and hardcore, while their intense live performances have earned them a growing reputation for unpredictability and sheer sonic force.
In 2023, the band won Birmingham’s Metal to the Masses competition, securing a coveted performance at Bloodstock Open Air and sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in heavy music.
Now, with Floor Noise on the horizon, Nameless are continuing to explore the emotional extremes that underpin their sound. Following ‘Obliterate’, ‘Another Life’ offers another perspective on the album’s developing narrative, trading the outward confrontation of its predecessor for something more introspective and painfully human.
If ‘Obliterate’ examined what happens when someone else begins to erode your sense of self, ‘Another Life’ turns towards the difficult process of facing what remains, and wondering whether forgiveness, both from others and from yourself, might make a different future possible.
‘Another Life’ is released Friday 30th October 2026.
Nameless’ sophomore album, Floor Noise, is due for release in early 2027.
All music has been written by Nameless and recorded, mixed and mastered by the band’s guitarist, Lewis James. Drums were recorded at Capsarx Studios.
