Karlstad, Sweden’s own Condemned-AD has returned with their powerful new EP, The Human Machine, now available worldwide as of June 21, 2024, via Too Loud Records.
Originally formed in 1989 under the name Condemned, the band endured years of chaos and mental health struggles, leading to the frontman Micke’s breakdown in 1998. After years of silence, the band reformed in 2015 as Condemned-AD, marking a new era for the group. With Micke “Klecken” Karlsson—the driving force behind the band—on guitar and vocals, and Juan on drums, Condemned-AD has solidified their place in the Swedish metal scene.
The Human Machine EP was recorded at 4 White Walls Studio in Sweden, with drums performed by Kostas Vass from Greece. The EP was mixed and mastered at Titans Lab Recording Studio by Riccardo Daga, who previously collaborated with the band. This release showcases the band’s signature thrash metal sound, honed by decades of experience and personal struggle, tackling themes of human stupidity, depression, and the universal inevitability of death.
