Coral the MerKnight, the enigmatic figure emerging from the depths of the oceanic abyss, returns with a monumental tale in his sophomore album: “vs. The Beasts of Burdentown (A Post-Deathrock Opera)”. Following the triumph over the malevolent entity SEARANTULA documented in his debut album, Coral’s journey continues as he navigates through the labyrinth of human existence.
In his relentless pursuit of adventure, Coral finds himself confronting newfound guilt for abandoning his underwater kingdom. Unbeknownst to him, this emotional turmoil awakens a sinister force lurking in the shadows, threatening to unravel his heroic legacy. Will Coral persevere in the face of this daunting challenge, or will he succumb to the shadows that haunt him?

With each track, listeners are drawn deeper into Coral’s world, experiencing the highs and lows of his epic quest.
Band Makeup:
Coral the MerKnight stands as the sole permanent member of the ensemble, steering the ship with unwavering vision and creativity. However, his journey is enriched by the collaborative efforts of esteemed musicians who lend their talents to this grandiose endeavor. Joining Coral are Travis Orbin (Darkest Hour) on drums and Cris Hodges (Grey Daze) on vocals, infusing the album with power and dynamism. Additionally, the album features guest solos by the virtuosic Nik Nocturnal on select tracks, adding an extra layer of intensity and intrigue.
Track Collaborations:
Nik Nocturnal’s blistering guitar solos adorn “MINDF!@#%”, “for-closure”, and “Exsanguinate!”, elevating these compositions to dizzying heights of sonic complexity. Drawn in Isolation’s programming contributions on “My Day to Bleed” and “The War Drums Sound (On a Moonlit Clearing)” further enrich the album’s sonic tapestry, weaving together elements of metal, rock, and orchestral arrangements.
