Summer is a time for sun, fun, and Heavy Metal!

Philadelphia hard rockers, Corners of Sanctuary (COS), are hitting the road this summer in support of their Metal Up extended EP, which includes the band’s first outing to Canada.

“We are finally getting to the Great White North,” says COS founder and guitarist Mick Michaels. “Having the chance to play Canada has always been something we felt we were missing out on… things never panned out. So when the right opportunity presented itself, it just felt right.”

COS Metal Up cover.jpg COS‘s “mini excursion” is part of the Metal Up Tour 2024 in support of the extended EP of the same name. Released in March on SODEH Records, “Metal Up” contains eight tracks, including the EP’s first single, “Hunter Prey,” which hit the World Indie Music Charts Top 100, coming in at #42 in May.

Additionally, COS has been in the studio recording a follow-up EP and full-length album. The band is also working on setting up re-releases of their first two albums, 2012’s “Breakout” and 2013’s “Harlequin.” Both albums will contain new recordings of the original track listings featuring the current lineup, and the latter will be released with a comic book, showcasing the album’s original concept storyline. There are also plans slated to release a biography on the band, through March Baby Media and Scream Bloody Books, this December, just in time for the Holiday Season.

“Having multiple outlets to present the band and the music in a variety of formats is just amazing,” added Michaels. “Anything is possible. You just have to believe.”
