Southern California witchy doom trio PEGZILLA are releasing their first single with Ripple Music in late summer. “Chelsea” is a song about facing the consequences of one’s actions.
Inspired by a real-life news story where a woman murdered her alleged rapist, the song expresses the strictness of cause and effect. In a world where sexual assault victims rarely see their cases brought to justice, this song is about what happens when one takes that into their own hands.
It is a thunderous warning to those who intend to cause womxn harm.
This is the third advance single from their upcoming album Disobedience, which will be released by Ripple in October.

If Sabbath got hexed by a riot grrrl and dragged through the desert at midnight, you’d get PEGZILLA. The three piece heavy rock band out of Los Angeles California features Olivia Saperstein on vocals and guitars, Juan Barsse on bass, and Ryan Swain on drums. With hints of doom metal, psych and even punk rock it’s hard to fit this rowdy trio into a tidy box. Instead label them one thing: LOUD.
