It’s been 3 years since TRASH SOUND CONGLOMERATE‘s debut album Constant Crisis and the world has only gotten worse! Since their chaotic debut, the Seattle punk trio has been hard at work refining their sporadic freshman energy into their second effort, Sophomore Slump.
Sometimes it feels like every action you take is calculated to the point of pre-determination. Choosing to buck destiny, Trash Sound Conglomerate embraces the id by focusing on what feels right. Don’t overthink it, roll with it, trust yourself. This new album takes the band’s internal conflict between heavy influences and pop hooks and distills it into a pure burst of energy.
This is a real four-quadrant release: anthemic choruses, thoughtful lyrics, intricate arrangements, and that uncut shit that makes you want to thrash about. Coming out September 4th through Moodkiller Records, Trash Sound Conglomerate’s Sophomore Slump attempts to scream loud enough to drown out the noise that pollutes most of our lives and tries to make the world around them a slightly less bad place. Punches? Not held. Holds? Unbarred. All bets? Off.

If the history of punk rock was to be wrung-out like a sopping sponge, Seattle trio Trash Sound Conglomerate is the excess squeezed from its soggy corpse. The collective, individually known as Kat Trash (guitar), Bogie (drums and cymbals), and Gwen Static (bass)shares the collective burden of songwriting duties. The trio rips through a genre-bending range that references power-pop, hardcore, and thrash.
Since 2021, T.S.C. has released two EPs, two singles, and a full-length album, with their second full-length, Sophomore Slump, forthcoming. There is no lead singer in T.S.C., the three pass the microphone between them. If they ever forgot their on-stage dinosaur, that’s not the real T.S.C.
