The fleet has set sail.
Today, October 2nd, 2026, Italian Hard’n Heavy band 500 Horse Power officially release their highly anticipated third studio album, “Metal Flotilla”.
After more than three years of development, over 500 hours spent between rehearsal rooms and recording studios, and years of intense live activity across Italy and beyond, the band are finally ready to unleash their most ambitious and unconventional work to date.
“Metal Flotilla” is not simply another Heavy Metal album. It is a musical journey built on experience, passion, experimentation and the desire to break away from established formulas.
The concept behind the title is represented by a fleet of ships, each one carrying musicians united under the flag of Heavy Metal. Together, they set sail against artistic conformity and music created without the dedication, sacrifice and passion that have always been at the heart of the 500 Horse Power philosophy.
Musically, the album proudly carries the band’s Hard’n Heavy DNA, but refuses to remain within a single genre. Thrash Metal, Speed Metal, Punk Rock and unexpected Dance influences coexist throughout the record, creating an album that is energetic, unpredictable and deliberately difficult to categorize.
With 11 main tracks plus a bonus track, “Metal Flotilla” takes the listener through completely different musical territories, from powerful Heavy Metal moments to more unconventional and surprising compositions.

Formed in Vicenza, with a stable lineup since 2019, 500 Horse Power have built their reputation through their previous releases “Last Bullet” and “Cluster”, as well as an intense live career that has taken them to stages throughout Italy.
Over the years, the band have shared the stage with major names from the Italian metal scene, including Crying Steel, White Skull, Pino Scotto, Trick or Treat, Screaming Demons and many others.
The band are also the creators of SuperMetalFest, an event dedicated to supporting and promoting the Italian Hard Rock and Metal underground.
With the release of “Metal Flotilla”, 500 Horse Power now begin a new chapter of their journey together with Wanikiya Record/Promotion, responsible for the album’s international promotion and media campaign.
This is an album created through years of work, hundreds of hours in the studio and rehearsal room, countless kilometres on the road and, above all, a genuine love for music.
“Metal Flotilla” doesn’t follow the rules. It rewrites them.
