Salt Lake City UT – “A woman once told me she believed there is a silver cord connecting her to all her lovers. I believe her. Nothing can cut it. Not even death. Over the years the ghosts come closer. I leave the door open and they walk right in like they own the place”, shares J.P. Whipple about his latest single “Your Ghost Walked In”.
The new track is from WEIRDO BOY’s debut, The Home Team Always Wins, releasing October 20th, 2026. Weirdo Boy is an alias for Whipple, who wrote, performed, arranged, and produced this track.
Diving into the track’s esoterically paranormal theme, Whipple states, “Music is a dream of the “Ocean of Sky”. Some things float to the top. Some things sink to the bottom. Some swim. I like to follow the dancers, favoring those who dance strangely, barefoot, on uneven ground— every movement is a new universe.”

Weirdo Boy is the experimental solo project of J. P. Whipple. Whipple is also the singer-songwriter for the band, Tycoon Machete, performs in drag with The Erin and John Show, and makes tens and tens of dollars releasing Americana music under his own name. “Weirdo Boy” is taken from the title of his bildungsroman (available on Amazon and from mysterious white vans parked at the gas station).
