Texas Heavy Metal Act Explores the Darker Side of Humanity With New Visual Chapter From Their Latest Album
Texas, USA | October 2026
Texas heavy metal act Feral Vermin has unleashed a new video for “Internal Inferno,” a track from their recently released album Harvey in the House, out now since September 7, 2026.
Built around old-school heavy metal, paranormal themes, theatrical imagery, and the darker side of human nature, Feral Vermin’s latest release takes listeners into the strange and unsettling world the band has created around their music.
“Internal Inferno” digs deeper into one of the central themes running through Harvey in the House: the darkness that exists within humanity itself. Feral Vermin explores the idea of the “beast of mankind,” examining the feral side of human nature, mental struggles, trauma, wickedness, and the internal battles that can shape a person’s life.
But Feral Vermin isn’t interested in creating a world that is simply doom and gloom.
The band’s identity is built around contrast, bringing together horror, humor, theatricality, human experience, and heavy metal. That approach is reflected throughout Harvey in the House, an album inspired in part by paranormal encounters and the real-life story behind the mysterious character of Harvey, a ghost-like entity connected to guitarist Gary Watson’s home.
Formed by Steven Eddie in 2013, Feral Vermin began as a largely private musical project before evolving into the full lineup heard today. Eddie handles vocals, lyrics, and guitars alongside guitarist Gary Watson, bassist Cameron Brown, drummer Morgan Heck, and theatrical performer Rick Kalifa.
The lineup brings decades of musical experience and a variety of backgrounds to the band’s sound.
Eddie’s history includes his work with Cryptic Veil, Portals of the Tomb Guard, and Ink’nOrbodica, while Watson brings a musical history stretching back to the early 1970s with SWEETLEAF and later work with Texas punk outfit The Mentals. Heck is the founder, guitarist, and vocalist of Sign of the Times, while Brown contributes bass and keys. Kalifa adds the theatrical element that helps bring Feral Vermin’s strange world and the character of Harvey to life.
Produced and recorded by Steven Eddie at Hard Wall Studios and Bee Cave Records, Harvey in the House was mixed and mastered by Rick Greenwood at Geneva Post Audio.
For fans of classic heavy metal and darker theatrical sounds, Feral Vermin draws inspiration from the likes of Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, and AC/DC while forging a sound and visual identity of its own.
With “Internal Inferno,” the band continues to expand the world introduced on Harvey in the House, inviting listeners to look inward and confront the darker forces that can live inside us all.
