This is a song about the defenders of Polish Post in Gdańsk,
September 1 st 1939. The were supposed to fight for 2 hours,
instead they kept their post for 14 hours, surrounded by the
Nazi forces that used flamethrowers against civilians.
With ‘Shadows and Dust’, Iron Kingdom enters its next era with
sharpened purpose, renewed fire, and a sound that honours
the past while forging boldly ahead. Their story is one of
endurance, evolution, and the unbreakable power of Heavy
Metal.

In 2026, Iron Kingdom enters a defining moment with the
release of their sixth studio album, ‘Shadows and Dust’,
arriving June 6, 2026, a date that symbolically aligns with both
their 15th anniversary and the 82nd anniversary of DDay. As
the band notes, “The release of our 6th studio album…
coincides with our 15th anniversary… You could say the
planets aligned.”
‘Shadows and Dust’ marks several firsts and milestones:
It is the first album recorded entirely in the band’s own home
studio, a major step in their longstanding DIY ethos.
It showcases a darker, more emotionally charged lyrical
landscape, exploring themes of death, impermanence,
hardship, and resilience.
Musically, it blends the band’s classic Heavy Metal roots with
new textures, progressive touches, and a renewed sense of
storytelling.
Its release show will see Iron Kingdom headlining Vancouver’s
Rickshaw Theatre, a venue where they once opened for their
heroes, now a symbol of how far they’ve climbed.
The album’s creation reflects the band’s collaborative maturity.
Songs were developed through jambased writing sessions,
where riffs, lyrics, and concepts evolved organically. As
Leighton describes, lyric inspiration often comes from “books,
and sometimes movies… as long as it’s thoughtprovoking,”
while Chris emphasizes the band’s commitment to crafting
albums that take listeners on a journey.

German heavy hardrockers ROSE’N are back
with „20TwentyFive” record, backed by
“Table Turned” video

Hard’n’heavy band ROSE’N from Mannheim was founded in the summer of 1987, releasing three
albums. Through numerous live concerts, the band earned an excellent reputation from the 1987
onwards.
Events with PINK CREAM 69, THE WARNING, TYKETTO… are just a small selection of their many
performances.
After some internal setbacks, the band decided to take an indefinite break at the end of 1991.
Since 2013, ROSE’N have been active again with a new lineup and have been able to recapture their
former glory at live events with SHAKRA, PALACE, METALWORKS, THE UNITY, WIZARD, SAINTS
ANGERS…
Moreover, they released three more records. “Wake up!” in 2015, “Changes” in 2023 and the latest
one, being a revamped version of “Changes”: “20TwentyFive”.

Austrian Psych-hardrockers LAZER promote
their debut album with “Sheeps In Clothes”
lyric video
While the Viennese Heavy Psych-Rock band Lazer may initially appear to be just another
purveyor of towering riffs and sonic explorations, a deeper dive into their music reveals a
level of depth and sophistication that sets them apart from their contemporaries. Anchored by
the raw yet delicate vocals of frontwoman Tanja “Aunty” Peinsipp, Lazer’s sound effortlessly
bridges the gap between the sheer power of their riff-driven passages and the more
introspective, atmospheric facets of the genre.

Formed in 2024 by guitarists Lukas Klingseisen and Lukas Schmidt, Lazer has quickly
established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the Heavy Psych-Rock scene.
Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of bands like Elder, Mars Red Sky, and Weedpecker,
the quintet has crafted a sonic signature that is both immediately captivating and endlessly
rewarding to explore.
Aunty’s vocals serve as the lynchpin, her emotive delivery providing a crucial emotional
counterpoint to the band’s towering riffs and hypnotic rhythms. Whether soaring over the
sphaerical passages or cutting through the distortion-drenched riffs, her voice lends a sense
of vulnerability and humanity to Lazer’s music, elevating the listening experience to a
transcendent plane.
But Lazer’s appeal extends far beyond just their frontwoman’s performance. The interplay
between the band’s instrumentalists is nothing short of mesmerizing, as they seamlessly
weave together elements of psychedelia, stoner- and progressive rock into a captivating
tapestry of sound. Tracks like “Sheeps In Clothes” and “Far Away” showcase the group’s
mastery of tension and release, building upon hypnotic grooves to transport the listener to
realms beyond the physical.
As Lazer continues to push the boundaries of heavy psych-rock, their reputation as one of
the most compelling and forward-thinking acts in the genre continues to grow. Whether
showcasing their music at festivals or intimate club shows, the band’s live performances are
nothing short of transformative. With their sights set on the musical horizon, Lazer promises
to continue blazing a trail through the psychedelic haze, captivating listeners with their
unparalleled musicianship and creativity.
