DESCARGO Y MALEFICIO (translates to “discharge and curse”) is a one-woman project that fuses post-industrial and trip-hop electronics with poetry and performance art. Founded in Chile in 2018 as a defiant response to the Tragedia $hilena ($hilean Tragedy)—a term that she describes as a way to denounce the country’s sexist and unequal cultural order—the project embodies both an artistic manifesto and a political outcry.
On stage, Descargo y Maleficio delivers immersive and uncompromising performances where sound, language, and body converge in a visceral ritual. With a raw and confrontational aesthetic, it draws audiences into a sonic landscape of rage, catharsis, and resistance—an experience at once unsettling and liberating.

In 2023, DyM performed at Udara Women and Rock Festival (Chile) and took part in a showcase for Ciudad Sonora 360ª TV. In January 2024, the project released its second album “Sentencia”. The video for its first single “Rabia”, received a Special Mention nomination at the SAM Awards 2024, included in the Official Selection of Santiago Horror Festival, The Chico Independent Film Fest, Bogotá Music Video, and won 2nd place at the IguannaRock Awards in Concepción, Chile. In 2024, Descargo y Maleficio was selected for the Sesiones Echomusic Showcase, recording a full multi-camera live session that premiered in March 2025.
