“From our hands with swords by our side…We will honor the past, into battle we ride!”
Corners of Sanctuary (COS) have released a brand new, battle-clad single, “Crimson Sky.” The commanding new track is the group’s most recent original cut following the deluxe digital reissue of their 2023 cover EP, “Taking Cover: a digital copy,” and the CD reissue of 2015’s “Metal Machine” earlier this year.
“Crimson Sky” takes a cinematic musical journey into the heart and soul of honor and loyalty – the two essential components that drive the spirit of the warrior into battle; fearlessly destined to uphold justice. “Crimson Sky” is a mythic and timeless tale of courage, chivalry and strength of character.
“We are excited about this new single,” says COS guitarist Mick Michaels. “We found ourselves diving back into some of our earlier progressive roots with this one. It’s a musical roller coaster of epic proportions.”
“Crimson Sky” is now available digitally on multiple platforms via SODEH Records and is accompanied by an equally monumental and cinematic animated music video.

As well, a 2-song mini CD, 2-page color comic and a COS Axe guitar pick merch package has been assembled to commemorate the release and is now available for order. For a limited time Crimson Sky Merch Packages can be purchased directly through the band via this link.
Additionally, members of Corners of Sanctuary teamed up with Heavens Edge guitarist, Reggie Wu and Lynch Mob bassist, Jaron Gulino for the title track of the upcoming documentary, “When We Rocked.” “When We Rocked” is the story of the Philadelphia Rock scene during its heyday of the 1980s. A trailer for the documentary and music video for the song of the same name are now streaming.

“When I was a kid, Philadelphia was the big time for me,” says Michaels. “The bands that I followed came from Philly and made it there. I am ecstatic that the book I co-authored last year is now being made into a feature length documentary about a city and music scene that was so impactful.”
Since 2011, Corners of Sanctuary has toured throughout the United States as well as performances in Europe, the UK, and Canada. During that time, COS has shared the stage with many notable and legendary acts including Stryper, UDO, Saxon, Anvil, the Iron Maidens, Grim Reaper, Enuff Z’Nuff, Britny Fox, BulletBoys, Faster Pussycat and many more. Over the last three years, Corners of Sanctuary has had multiple songs appear on several indie charts worldwide continuing to promote their unique brand of traditional Heavy Metal with 2026 also marking the band’s 15-year anniversary.
