1) Tell us your story of your creation.
Hey guys! First of all, thank you for giving us the opportunity to be
interviewed. We are an Italian/German Progressive Doom band born in August 2022. The band is composed by
Vito Tambasco (singer), Edoardo Di Vietri (guitar), Matteo De Marco (guitar, backing vocals and synthesizers),
Michael Veneri (guitar), Lhello Marra (bass) and Denis Citera (drums). It all started on theRock Castle stage in
the Czech Republic where we played under the name of Men in The box, our old project.
2) Why did you decide to choose this name? Is there any special meaning?
The name euthymia derives from a Greek word which indicates a state of balance of the fundamental affective
tone (i.e. mood), characterized by satisfaction of passions, distinguishing itself from apathy, which represents
its rejection. Since we are very attached to ancient Greek but above all to the philosophical concepts born in
Greece, we have married this name in order to subject ourselves even more to this meaning.
3) Give a title to your music genre.
Progressive Doom.
4) What was your latest release?
Out latest release is Angel , a massive attack cover. The song was born from a rather negative period for the
band: music has always been a cross and a delight for all of us, an obsession that sometimes traps you in a
spiral and we needed to exorcise this unconditional love towards it. Hence came the idea of bringing Massive
Attack's Angel in a new guise but maintaining the same concept of obsession discussed in the original
song.
5) Do you prepare a new release this period?
We are currently working on our next CD in an incessant and constant way, finally. The plan is to release at
least one single before our next spring tour.
6) Is there any chance to see another cover song really soon?
In the CD beyond angel there should be no further cover songs, but we are simultaneously preparing a cover of
”The guess who”. we would like to totally deconstruct the song and experience it as something totally new, so
we will need some time.
7) What was your biggest moment in 2023?
The best moment? definitely participation in the Alterova festival, in the Czech Republic. The dynamics were
very similar to the experience experienced in 2022 at Rock Castle but this time people were even more
empathetic towards our music. the journey to Ostrava, the stage hot as hell and the people… all amazing.
8) What are you plans for 2024?
The CD currently remains our biggest goal, but we are sewing some time around the musical production in
order to organize some dates. Spring dates will be announced soon, stay in touch with us on our social media!
