DreamSpy from Finland has released its third album titled “The Dance of Illusions” through Inverse Records. The album’s songs are underscored by elements of dark atmospheric rock and synth-driven soundscapes.
The lyrics of the album wander in the turmoil of a selfish and destructive mind, seasoned with sarcasm and flashes of light.

“The dance of the subconscious and the superego in the world of distortions.” DreamSpy is an experimental solo project of vocalist-bassist Anssi Tamminen.
The focal point of the sound is an electric upright bass, coated in distortion and effects, supported by a blend of machine and traditional drum sounds.
Synthesizers occasionally take the spotlight weaving in and out of the sonic landscape. Guitar tracks? There are none.
Tamminen’s vocal performance ranges from a fragile whisper to a resonant, baritone presence.
