French sludge/hardcore metallers TIGERLEECH have unleashed their latest visual and sonic assault: the new video for “OTOSHIMAE.”
Taken from their critically acclaimed new album, ‘BICEPHALOUS’ (out now via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records), “OTOSHIMAE” is the ultimate statement from a band operating at the peak of their raw, uncompromising power.
This track is a masterclass in modern sludge, delivering massive, punishing riffs, raw energy, and the signature, fearless attitude that defines the quartet.
Dive deep into the core themes of duality, conflict, and redemption that fuel BICEPHALOUS. “OTOSHIMAE” is more than just a song—it’s a perfect, intense snapshot of Tigerleech’s heavier, darker blend of hardcore-laced stoner roots and visceral sludge metal intensity.
BICEPHALOUS marks a bold new chapter for the band, featuring a revamped lineup that has expanded their sonic arsenal to deliver a sound that is both relentless and profound.
Don’t just listen to the conflict—experience the reckoning.
From sludge-driven stoner to hardcore rock
Formed in 2013, Tigerleechcombines stoner, hardcore, and sludge influences to craft a heavy, raw, and uncompromising sound defined by its sheer power and intensity. In 2014, the band released their debut 4-track demo Danse Macabre and performed a series of shows in and around Paris. By late 2016, they returned to the studio to record their second 4-track EP.
Between 2017 and 2018, Tigerleech solidified their reputation on the road with performances in cities like Rennes, Valenciennes, and Saint Brieuc. Their first self-produced album, The Edge of the End, produced by Andrew Guillotin, arrived in 2019 to highly positive reviews, followed by a nationwide tour to promote the record.
During the pandemic, the band focused on new material and, in February 2021, recorded their second album Melancholy Bridge, also produced by Andrew Guillotin. This darker, more melodic, and mature release marked a significant evolution in their sound. Released through the MetO Music label, the band toured extensively in 2022, performing at events like the Hellfest Off Festival and Napalm Festival, and opened for Ecstatic Vision in Paris.
With the addition of a second guitarist, Tigerleech is now preparing to release their third album, Bicephalous, scheduled for early 2025 through Octopus Rising and Argonauta Records, continuing their journey of relentless creativity and sonic intensity.
