Norway’s Best-Dressed Rock Band Wants You to Put the Phone Down
Norwegian rockers Dance Commander deliver their most direct statement yet with “Time In The Sun,” a protest song aimed straight at digital obsession and the anxious pull of the screen. Lines like “A blue light to my head / In fear and panic-fed” capture the low-grade panic of constant connection, before the track erupts into a rallying cry: “Run away from handheld oppression / Break away from the god in your palm.” What sets the song apart is its ending, after all that urgency, it settles into a warm, communal “spending our time in the sun” refrain, a kumbayah-style release that feels genuinely earned. Big riffs, bigger hooks, and a message that keeps getting more relevant, “Time In The Sun” is Dance Commander’s call to put the phone down and step back into the light.

Daysick’s New Concept Chapter Pulls You Into a Session With a Patient Who Might Be Lying to Himself
Daysick’s “Therapy Is In Session” is the third chapter in the band’s narrative-driven concept album, unfolding as a tense back-and-forth between a patient and his therapist inside a hospital for the criminally insane. The patient insists he’s innocent, framed, misunderstood, and ready for release, but as the session progresses, cracks start to show. Blackouts he can’t explain. Actions he doesn’t remember taking. The therapist pushes him to stop denying and start confronting the truth, but denial is the only thing keeping him steady. Built around storytelling as much as sound, Daysick uses “Therapy Is In Session” to blur the line between innocence and self-deception, leaving listeners to decide who’s really being honest.
