Rock ‘n’ roll rebels Jozey & The Corruption are excited to announce the upcoming debut of their official lyric video for “Grip,” set to premiere on November 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM. This electrifying anthem, released on October 10, 2024, is already making waves, boasting over 13K plays in just under three weeks since its release via Detained Records.
“Grip” captures the raw emotions of losing someone you care about—someone you never wanted to let go. The song navigates the turbulent journey of grappling with intense feelings as the narrator comes to terms with their loved one’s decision, embodying resilience and determination. With a driving beat and a Southern rock-inspired hook, “Grip” features a big, open, and catchy chorus paired with raw, emotive vocals. Lyrically, the song delves into themes of holding on amidst adversity, making it deeply relatable for anyone who has faced similar challenges. Its infectious energy and memorable melodies make it a standout track, inviting listeners to embrace their inner strength and keep pushing forward.
Following the lyric video, the official music video for “Grip” will be released on November 10, 2024.

In addition to the exciting new music, Jozey & The Corruption is preparing for their highly anticipated album, “Being Number 2 Sucks,” set to drop on May 11, 2025. The album will be available in both physical CD and digital formats, delivering a hard-hitting collection of tracks that embody the band’s signature sleazy, high-energy sound.
Since their formation in 2018, the Akron-based band has quickly become a staple in the hard rock and outlaw punk scenes. Fronted by the charismatic Jozey, who serves as vocalist and lead guitarist, the band also features Joey Fuego on drums-turned-bass, Jerich-Oh on guitar, and new drummer M.B. Their 2022 debut EP, “One,” was named Best EP of the Year by Rock N’ Roll and Other Sounds, setting high expectations for their forthcoming releases.
“Being Number 2 Sucks” builds on the success of their debut with even more gritty, sleazy anthems that showcase their dynamic sound. With a blend of classic rock influences and modern punk energy, the album promises to further establish Jozey & The Corruption as one of the most exciting acts in the hard rock scene.
Due to recent security issues, the band’s old Facebook account was hijacked, and they encourage fans to follow their new page to stay updated on their music and upcoming events.
Stay tuned for more updates from Jozey & The Corruption and prepare to rock out with “Being Number 2 Sucks” on May 11, 2025.
