To mark five years since their debut album, Sour Days, the band Scumbags releases a deluxe edition with remixed and remastered versions of the original tracks. Sour Days Deluxe brings a new approach to the album, with sonic updates that expand the musical identity that the band has built over the last few years.
With this deluxe edition, Scumbags revisited the Sour Days recordings, bringing new production to the tracks that were remixed and remastered, highlighting the trio’s original compositions. Songs like “On The K Street” and “The Kids Aren’t the Same” introduce new layers and textures, preserving the group’s signature raw style and energy. The updates aim for a different sound experience than the 2019 version, without leaving aside the essence of punk rock.
The deluxe edition offers a total of 36 tracks, including previously unreleased demos, acoustic versions and live recordings, which expand on the original album. Songs like “My Sour Days”, “Disorder and Regress” and “Nowhere” were written in the same period, but were left out of the 2019 release. Now, these tracks complete the narrative of Sour Days, with lyrics and arrangements that reflect the band development. Sour Days Deluxe not only celebrates their debut album, but also revisits the trajectory of Scumbags, consolidating their space in the underground scene.
