Originally formed in 1992 under the name The Fiends, SUGAR VIRUS has spent over three decades evolving their signature sound — a crushing, macabre fusion of horror punk, doom metal, and southern-fried thrash. Led by founding vocalist Jason Virus, whose unmistakable voice channels the crooning menace of Elvis Presley, 70s-era Glenn Danzig, and Billy Milano, the band continues to haunt listeners with unrelenting riffs and blood-soaked grooves.

KILL THE MESSENGER is a 100% DIY effort — written, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Jason Virus himself. The record stays true to the band’s horror roots while pushing further into doom-laden territory, echoing influences from Danzig, Black Sabbath, and the raw energy of The Ramones.
