Queens, NY– THE BUDDY SYSTEM FOREVER are releasing their latest single, “Not Listening Anyway”, on Friday August 14th. The track distills the sensation of being stuck on the receiving end of a boring conversation. The teacher at the front of the class, that guy in your office, someone you just can’t stand – you can see their mouths move, but you just couldn’t care less. Blah, blah blah……
The mind wanders as the banalities go in one ear and out the other. The band takes us through this journey with a blend of bouncing power chords, swirling four part harmonies, a soaring guitar solo and an epic chorus that serves as the protagonist’s defiant eye-roll. It’s a relatable power-pop jaunt that feels right at home alongside artists such as Jeff Rosenstock and Superchunk.
