Finnish alternative rock band Delfoi Road has released the final single and music video from their upcoming album for the song Red Monster.
The single serves as a preview of the album Body Resonance, set for release on October 23. According to the band, Red Monster came together almost effortlessly. The result is an energetic and straightforward rock song that is catchy, yet also an inventive pop track that challenges its listeners.

The music video of the song is directed by Ismo Markkula.
The music video is a classic music video with a slight twist. Markkula, known as a horror fan, incorporated elements from his favorite genre as well as one slightly surprising element.
“During the photo shoot, they took excellent care of the band members’ skin. They didn’t skimp on the aloe vera,” Markkula chuckles.
The band feels there’s something special about Red Monster, and it has worked exceptionally well in live performances as well.
“When we’ve played the song at shows, something strange happens. The room gets electrified, and both the audience and the band sense that there’s something special going on,” says singer-guitarist Jani Nivala.
For the band, the song is also an example of how the power of music can arise from simplicity.
“‘Red Monster’ is an example of how the best songs are created and released in a way that preserves only the most important and essential elements, without extensive post-production,” bassist Miika Erkkilä explains.
Red Monster was recorded at Anssi Kippo‘s Astia Studio without any overdubs or computer-based editing, directly onto reel-to-reel tape.
“Red Monster features only the most essential instruments and vocal parts, which have the space to deliver the kind of powerful expression and clarity that the song demands,” bassist Erkkilä closes up.
