Wander Lust Unveil Debut Album Solace of a Dream

An ethereal plunge into darkness – out now via Portal Studios

San Jose, CA – Emerging from the shadows with a haunting blend of beauty and despair, Wander Lust have released their debut full-length album, Solace of a Dream, now available worldwide on all streaming platforms and select physical formats through Portal Studios.

Carving a path through Ethereal Black Metal, Wander Lust balances dreamlike soundscapes with the raw weight of blackened riffs and spectral melodies. The album explores themes of solitude, transformation, and the search for solace within the vastness of dreams. Fans of Frayle, Darkher, Chelsea Wolfe, and Agalloch will find themselves entranced by the band’s otherworldly resonance.

Wander Lust began as a solo project by Luna Sanchez in 2020. While living in Cocula, Jalisco during the global lockdown, Luna found herself isolated with her two children, Athena and Xaden. In that solitude, she turned inward, channeling her emotions into a series of DIY demos quietly uploaded to YouTube.

On February 14, 2024, Luna released her first official single, Stuck in a Reverie, a collaboration with friend Michael Ball (of Tegmentum), who performed bass and drums. Later that year, Michael also contributed drums to the second single, Fractals, released on October 1, 2024. These singles marked the true beginning of Wander Lust’s evolution, leading to the partnership with Channeler, who has since joined as a permanent member handling drums, bass, and production.

With Solace of a Dream, Wander Lust unveil their most complete vision yet. Recorded and produced at Portal Studios, the album was produced by Luna Sanchez, with mixing and mastering handled by Channeler. Luna, a professional portrait and fine art photographer, also directs all of the band’s photography and videography, capturing the aesthetic essence of Wander Lust in every frame.

“This album is the sound of solitude transformed into something alive,” says Luna. “It came from nights of dreaming, grieving, and hoping — and finally letting the music become my escape.”

What started as personal demos evolved into a transcendent body of work blending ethereal atmospheres with the heaviness of black metal. With Channeler handling drums and bass since late 2024, and Luna managing all photography and visual direction, Wander Lust has grown into a fully realized duo delivering a haunting, immersive artistic vision.
