New Jersey’s metal juggernaut, Mass Punishment, has just released the official music video for their brutal track “Ground Pounder,” featured on their latest album Proving Grounds Devastation, out now via Wormholedeath.
“Ground Pounder” dives deep into the psyche of an Infantryman Soldier, brainwashed by the military establishment, conditioned to march through any hell they face. The music video, co-directed by MavErick and Marc Petrick, brings this intense narrative to life, combining heavy riffs and guttural vocals with striking visuals that convey the relentless chaos and destruction faced by soldiers on the frontlines.
As a band known for tackling hard-hitting topics, Mass Punishment uses their extreme metalcore sound to address pressing global issues—government corruption, depopulation, and the consequences of political and economic manipulation. The New Jersey-based quartet is not just delivering music; they are sounding an alarm through their aggressive, fact-laden lyrics and punishing instrumentals.
With the release of the Proving Grounds Devastation album, Mass Punishment solidifies their status in the extreme metal scene, fusing raw energy with a message designed to provoke thought and action.
