French omnicore outfit POINT MORT unveil new music video “Celebrity Spin”.

‘Live at Hellfest’ out November 13.

RIYL : Brutus | Rolo Tomassi | Ithaca | Faith No More | Refused

FAME IS TEMPORARY. CONFETTI GETS EVERYWHERE.

French omnicore / chaotic popcore five-piece POINT MORT unveil the official music video for “Celebrity Spin,” the first glimpse of their forthcoming live album and concert video, Live at Hellfest.

Written especially for the band’s second appearance at the festival, “Celebrity Spin” explores the peculiar emotional mechanics of playing in front of a huge crowd: the fleeting sense of becoming larger than life, the vertigo of the stage — and the abrupt return to ordinary existence once the lights go down.

Catchy vocal harmonies quickly give way to muscular grooves, growled vocals and the kind of restless shifts that have become central to POINT MORT’s identity. Captured on the Hellfest Warzone amid flowers, confetti and a very active circle pit, the video places that contradiction directly on screen.

This is more than a souvenir from a major festival appearance. It is a song about the strange moment when a stage makes you feel enormous — and what remains when the confetti finally reaches the floor.

FLOWERS IN THE WARZONE.

Formed in the Paris region in 2017, POINT MORT describe their music as omnicore: a shape-shifting form of heavy music grounded in hardcore immediacy while remaining open to pop melody, electronic detail, rock dynamics and rap cadence.

Across two EPs and the albums Pointless… and Le point de non-retour, the band have developed a language in which emotional exposure and physical impact are never treated as opposites. Their closest audience coordinates begin with the intensity of Brutus, before moving through the volatility of Rolo Tomassi, the contemporary hardcore openness of Ithaca, the iconoclastic freedom of Faith No More, the darkness of Oathbreaker and the genre-resistant urgency of Refused.

That identity has taken POINT MORT from a one-day recording session at the former Vogue Records studio to the Motocultor Mainstage, a tour through Cuba and two appearances at Hellfest.

Their 2026 return to the Warzone now becomes Live at Hellfest: a seven-track live album and full concert video capturing the band at the point where its studio identity, visual world and live intensity became inseparable.

Live at Hellfest will be released on November 13, 2026, via Almost Famous, with distribution by Baco Records, across vinyl, CD, digital and video formats.

A behind-the-scenes documentary tracing the preparation and story of the performance will follow on December 10.
