“The Dark In Me”,
OUT NOW
Drive Thru Society exposes their rawest and most vulnerable side with the release of their latest single and official visualizer, ‘The Dark In Me’. The new track dives deep into internal battles, bitterness, and the desperate search for healing in the face of dark thoughts threatening to take control.
DENTON, TX — October 2026 — Drive Thru Society has officially released “The Dark In Me”. Lyrically, the song chronicles the emotional toll of dealing with anger and doubt, describing them as a “familiar friend” that takes root if left unchecked. It is an honest outcry that acknowledges inner darkness while actively seeking the light and freedom from destructive cycles.
The studio work features impeccable production, mixing, and mastering by Cory Brunnemann, successfully capturing the dense, cathartic atmosphere required by the track’s message.
To accompany the release, the band premiered an official visualizer produced by Exceleration Media. The audiovisual piece was directed and edited by Jake Jones, produced by Meg Hudson, Greg Hudson, Michael Moore, and Kathleen Crabtree-Moore. It features lead performances by Jeanelle Schumann and Meg Hudson herself, adding an intense visual dimension to the song’s narrative.
“The Dark In Me” is available now across all digital streaming platforms, solidifying Drive Thru Society as a musical act unafraid to confront mental and emotional adversity through heavy riffs and introspective songwriting.
