Radio Aftermath unleashes a ferocious dose of post-hardcore chaos with Apophenia—a track that doesn’t just hit hard, it cuts deep. Combining visceral aggression with melodic finesse, the UK outfit taps into the psychological phenomenon of its namesake: the human impulse to find meaning in the meaningless.
From the jump, Apophenia roars with distorted guitars and pounding drums, creating a soundscape that’s as urgent as it is unpredictable. Fans of Thrice, Alexisonfire, and Every Time I Die will immediately feel the pull—this is a band that knows how to straddle chaos and control.
The vocal delivery is a storm of contradictions—soaring melodic lines crash against raw, guttural screams, evoking the internal struggle of trying to make sense of a senseless world. Each dynamic shift in the song’s structure—whether it’s an explosive chorus or a haunting bridge—feels deliberate, calculated, and emotionally charged.
Lyrically, the track delves into themes of paranoia, existential dread, and warped perception. It’s not just a song—it’s a psychological spiral set to a soundtrack of beautifully crafted brutality.
Whether you’re a fan of technical riffage, emotional storytelling, or just need a soundtrack to your latest existential crisis, Apophenia deserves your attention. With this release, Radio Aftermath doesn’t just make noise—they make a statement.

Biography
Embracing Chaos: Radio Aftermath’s Sonic Fusion of Punk, Electronic Agitation, and Anthemic Rock
Step into the world of Radio Aftermath, where a love for punk, awkward time signatures, and unapologetic screams collide with electrifying electronic elements. Accompanied by a drummer driven by pure passion, this Leeds-based band creates a captivating musical experience like no other.
Throughout their catalogue, these diverse influences battle for supremacy, intertwining to forge agile and anthemic alternative rock songs bursting with colossal riffs and unforgettable hooks. Their debut single, “Kiss from a Rebel,” ignited the scene in May 2020 during the peak of the first COVID-19 lockdown. This was followed by the hard-hitting releases of “We Eat the Buffalo” (November 2020) and “Estranged” (February 2021). Embarking on their own headline tour and supporting fellow Leeds talents When They Riot in late 2021, the band made their mark on the live circuit.
In 2022, Radio Aftermath retreated into the studio, immersing themselves in the recording and release of new music. May brought forth the invigorating “Cup of Coffee in the Big Time,” swiftly followed by the enigmatic “Custom Made Lizard Shoes.” Their self-titled debut EP, a testament to their creative prowess, dropped in October of the same year.
As we journey into the present, Radio Aftermath diligently crafts their latest single, aptly titled “Fetid,” while simultaneously penning a new EP slated for release in late 2023. Brace yourself for the aftermath, where sonic boundaries are shattered, and musical liberation takes center stage.
