Barn Hooker smells of leather, tobacco, whisky and sage. It’s rock tinged with stoner, blues and metal. Rock with raw nerves, sexy and bewitching.

It’s the hot voice of a wild female lead, a redhead with an irrepressible burning passion, with dancing as a manifesto, it’s witchcraft. It’s a sultry performance of femininity to attract attention and, once the audience is captivated, the chance to finally chant darkness into poetry. Like a Tarantino movie, the lyrics are gripping and the death spectacular. We discover the pieces as we meet the characters, all of whom come to inhabit the stage and the bodies for the duration of a title. Dramaturgically, Barn Hooker’s tales make the earth vibrate, to serve a rock as mysterious as it is turbulent, and leave no one indifferent.

Writer by day, stripper by night, Joey has been scouring the metal and punk scene for the past 10 years with the band OPIUM DU PEUPLE. A true performer, she puts her smooth, saturated voice at the service of her lyrics. From her passionate exchanges with Jimbo’s hot, incisive riffs was born the BARN HOOKER project. With Oleg on drums, they add a captivating rhythmic dimension to their music. Thibaud’s resolutely deep and powerful bass completes the ensemble, and his vocals (R.A.B., MADAME OLGA) add an intense touch to their music.
