Out of the relentless churn of the West Coast underground, Choke Me have officially released their latest full-length assault, “A Violent Phenomenon,” now available worldwide via Riot Ready Records.
Built on a foundation of grindcore speed, hardcore aggression, and heavy metal weight, the band delivers a record that refuses to ease up even for a second. This is raw, unfiltered intensity captured at full blast, shaped by frontman and songwriter Wesley Richards, who continues to steer the project deep into uncompromising territory.
“A Violent Phenomenon” lives up to its name. It is loud, chaotic, and direct, channeling frustration, politics, and personal pressure into a wall of punishing riffs and sharp-edged lyricism. From systemic critique to internal struggle, the record keeps its focus locked and its volume maxed out.
