Philadelphia’s Corners of Sanctuary (COS) are set to reissue their 2012 debut album, Breakout, on April 29th. This CD-only release contains the album’s original track listing with several major upgrades, including new recordings, new versions of previous songs, new mixes and masters, and features performances from the current lineup.
The reissue of Breakout on CD, via Sonic Velocity Records, comes as part of the COS’ year-long celebration of the 10-year anniversary release of their seminal 2015 album, Metal Machine.
“The idea to reissue Breakout started back in 2018,” says COS founder and guitarist Mick Michaels. “It’s one of those things where it became one thing after another, and it kept being put off for one reason or another. No more excuses… here it is!”
A limited first pressing of Breakout, which will don the album’s original cover artwork, will be available April 29th, exclusively on the official Corners of Sanctuary website, www.cornersofsanctuary.com , and at all of the band’s shows.
“Breakout is a sentimental piece of this band’s journey,” adds Michaels. “This reissue honors that history, all of it… the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

In addition, COS dropped a new single and lyric video in February, “Never Count Me Out.” The single is included on the new EP, Forever Metal, and the single is now streaming on all major platforms via SODEH Records and the lyric video can be viewed on Youtube. Autographed CD copies of Forever Metal are also available at the band’s website.
