As the full moon lurks and the darkness covers the land,it’s once again the season of witches, ghosts, and Heavy Metal bands. Rockin’ and Rollin’ on the edge of your seats…but chocolate, candy corn, and razor blade-laced apples aren’t the only treat!
In the spirit of the fall season and inspired by their 2016 single, “Hyde No More,” Philly rockers Corners of Sanctuary (COS) have teamed up with AI Adventure Comics to bring their haunting song to life via a mini-comic adaptation. The single, “Hyde No More,” which is loosely based on the 1885 novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, was included on the band’s first compilation album, Declaration of Metal.
“It’s one of those songs that keeps creeping up on us,” says COS founder and guitarist Mick Michaels. “We never expected to have a song that would be associated with Halloween…we’re more known for our Christmas releases. But we’re not complaining.”
With Halloween right around the corner, the band wants to celebrate by making the song’s inspiredmini-comic counterpart available as a FREE PDF download until November 1, 2024. A limited run of color print comics will also be made available and will include a CD compilation of COS music, including an updated version of “Hyde No More” starting November 2nd. Printed comics can be ordered at the band’s official website, www.cornersofsanctuary.com, or purchased directly at their merch table.
“It’s pretty amazing to see something you’ve done take on so many alliterations…song, video, and now a comic,” says Michaels. “It just blows my mind.”

Additionally, COS is set to release their new Christmas Holiday bundle, A Naughty & Nice Merry Metal Xmas XI. The digital EP officially drops November 10th through SODEH Records. The two-song EP features the band’s all new, original Holiday track, “Christmas Fairytale,” and a cover of the Black Sabbath classic, “Paranoid.” Fans can pre-save now by following this link: https://bfan.link/a-naughty-nice-merry-metal-xmas-xi
With 2025 right around the corner, the band will have an array of projects releasing throughout the coming year. In January, a COS Acoustic CD will release showcasing a different side of several live favorites. The new EP, Forever Metal, officially drops February 9th. A biography on the band will also be available in February and will coincide with the 10 year anniversary celebration of the release of their 2015 album, Metal Machine.
The band is also working on setting up re-releases for their first two albums, 2012’s Breakout and 2013’s Harlequin. Both albums will include updated recordings of the original track listings. Harlequin will be accompanied with a comic book, showcasing the album’s original concept storyline.
