Long Island’s horror-thrash unit Electrocutioner strike once again with the release of their ferocious new single “Lightning Sacrifice” this Friday, August 8th. This blistering track is the second single from their forthcoming sophomore album Harbinger , due Fall 2025 via CDN Records.

Inspired by ancient Incan rituals—where children were placed atop volcanoes to be struck by lightning in divine acts of sacrifice—“Lightning Sacrifice” is a brutal, mythic thrash anthem that channels terror, transcendence, and sacred fire.

“This song was inspired by the ancient belief that being struck by lightning would elevate a sacrificed child to the realm of the gods,” says guitarist/vocalist Mark Pursino . “We took that concept and transformed it into a thunderous thrash experience—raw power, pain, and sacred fire.”

With razor-edged riffs, horror-laced synths, and suffocating atmosphere, Electrocutioner evokes the legacy of East Coast thrash legends like Slayer , Whiplash , and Exorcist , while forging their own unholy path forward.
