Watch “Lost Kids” Video: OUT NOW
From the coastal town of Sölvesborg, Sweden, rising alt-rock outfit Empire of None return with their most urgent and emotionally charged release to date, the new video single “Lost Kids,” out now.
“Lost Kids” hits like a confession shouted into empty space. It captures the tension of feeling unheard, dismissed, and pushed aside, turning that frustration into a soaring, defiant anthem. Built on raw emotion and melodic force, the track leans into alt-rock intensity, emo urgency, and post-hardcore energy while still holding onto sharp modern hooks.
At its core, the song speaks for a generation that feels overlooked and mislabeled, the ones told everything is fine when it clearly is not.
The chorus says it all.
We are the kids, we’re the never meant to be
We are the saints, you will never let us leave
Can you hear? You failed us, you failed us once before
It is not subtle. It is not meant to be.
A VISUAL WITH WEIGHT
The accompanying video for “Lost Kids” matches the emotional pressure of the track with a stripped, DIY-driven visual approach. No excess. No distraction. Just performance, atmosphere, and the feeling that something is building toward breaking point.
It is the kind of visual that feels like it was made from the inside of the song rather than over it.
BUILT THE HARD WAY
Formed in 2018, Empire of None have built everything themselves from the ground up. Writing, recording, visuals, and video production have all been handled internally, shaping a sound that feels direct, honest, and unfiltered.
In 2023, the band earned recognition across Sweden after placing 2nd out of 78 acts in the Rockflödet Unsigned competition, proving they can stand tall in any room they walk into.
ABOUT THE DEBUT ALBUM KEEPSAKE
Arriving May 15, 2026, Keepsake is a ten-track debut exploring memory, identity, loss, and the emotional weight of everything people carry but rarely say out loud.
The band describes the record as a balance of darkness and light, built on honest storytelling and melody that cuts deep.
“Keepsake is about the things we hold closest to our hearts. The memories, the emotions, everything that has shaped us. Across ten tracks, we have poured our soul into capturing a world where both darkness and light coexist. Every song tells a story. Every word, every note is meant to pull the listener in.”

Empire of None are not polishing themselves for approval. They are channeling something real, loud, and uncomfortable in all the right ways.
With “Lost Kids” out now, the message is clear. This is not background music. This is a statement.
