Gothic / Doom
Israeli band Fatum Aeternum have released their new single “As Above So Below”. The track is self-released and available now in digital format.
The single marks the band’s return three years after their previous release and introduces a new six-piece line-up. Heavy riffs are joined by electric violin and cello, while deep male vocals and a whispered female voice give the song its darker character.
“As Above So Below” takes its title from the Hermetic axiom and turns it into a song about accepting both light and darkness. Lyrically, it moves through ideological rage and synthetic consumer culture.
The music keeps a slow, heavy and dramatic atmosphere, with strings adding to the darker tone of the track. Fatum Aeternum are planning more singles and live shows across Israel in the coming months.
