FLESH PRODUCE will release their latest advance single “Guitahnival” from CorpoRAT Records on April 24th, 2026. Speaking to the back story of the track, vocalist Myla Profitt shares, “I wrote this song for a clown wrestling event we were playing put on by Queer wrestling (wrestle.yr.friends). We had been saying for years how this particular instrumental sounded like WWE walkout music.
Seeing as we would be playing alongside wrestling matches, I decided it was time to fulfill my role as the lyric craftswoman and do my part.
I figured tacky was the way to go, so I couldn’t get too heady with it. I stuck with one simple message. You’re gonna need something a little stronger if you want to take me down, big boy.
Unsurprisingly, it only took me an hour to craft these really deep lyrics. Which beats my usual 5 days of 6-hour sessions after work at the coffee shop.
When the show day came, and it was time for our set, they stopped the wrestling. Most likely being nice. But unfortunately, that was the opposite of what we wanted. So we opened up a wrestling match in the pit. I think it went well, I’m pretty sure no one was harmed!”
Multi-instrumentalist Karl Fagerstrom adds, “I played all the guitars, synths, and extra-tacky stock Roland TD-10 edrums on this. I made this instrumental before I’d even met Myla – I was still heavily influenced by Thomas Fec (aka Tobacco) at the time (although tbf I still am), and there’s also some heavy Johnny Truant influence in there (the unheard of British metalcore band that came up with Architects but never got the flowers they deserved, in my opinion). It’s goofy, heavy, and noisy, and people seem to get down to it at shows. It’s definitely a cymbal-destroyer, if nothing else.”
