On this special episode of The Zach Moonshine Show , we sit down with Jeff Fabb , powerhouse drummer currently holding it down for the legendary Black Label Society . With a long résumé that includes stints in In This Moment , Filter , and more, Jeff brings decades of touring experience, songwriting, and rock ‘n’ roll war stories to the table in this candid, no-holds-barred interview.
Jeff reflects on his early days in the New York scene, discusses the path that led him to BLS, and opens up about life on and off the road with one of metal’s most iconic guitarists, Zakk Wylde .
“You know, I was always a huge fan of Zakk, growing up with Ozzy and Pride & Glory and everything he did. So when I got the call to play with BLS, it was kinda surreal. Zakk’s a machine—he just plays, writes, and shreds all day long.”
In the interview, Jeff also shares:
* What it was like meeting Ozzy Osbourne for the first time:
“Dude, meeting Ozzy was insane. Like, he walks in the room and it’s just… you feel it. That presence. And I was just like, holy sh*t, that’s really him. And he was super cool too.”
* His memories of connecting with Nikki Sixx :
“I met Nikki Sixx when we were out with Mötley a while back. Super nice guy, down-to-earth. It’s wild when you meet these legends and they’re just real people.”
* A look at the highs and lows of being on tour:
“It’s a grind, man, but it’s what we live for. Being on the road, playing live, that’s the payoff. You’ve gotta take care of yourself though. Physically and mentally, or it’ll eat you up.”
* Hints at what’s coming next for him creatively:
“Yeah, I’ve got some stuff I’m working on. It’s different, more melodic, some heavy parts too. I don’t know where it’ll go yet, but it’s good to create and have something that’s 100% yours.”
