Machine Cult Ritual Debut Album Occult Mechanics Out Now

Denmark’s industrial underground just got a whole lot heavier.

Machine Cult Ritual has officially released its debut full-length album Occult Mechanics , now available worldwide via LÆBEL on all major streaming platforms and Bandcamp. A strictly limited edition cassette is also available in the United States through Dungeon Squid Productions for those who still like their music physical, loud, and a little dangerous.

Founded in 2025, Machine Cult Ritual is the industrial death doom project of Danish composer and producer John R. Mirland, known simply as Mirland. With a long history in industrial, dark ambient, and experimental production work, Mirland now turns fully into heavier territory with a sound built to crush.

Occult Mechanics fuses mechanical drum programming, suffocating doom riffs, corrosive synth layers, and abyssal vocals into something cold, precise, and relentless. This is industrial death doom with intent, not imitation. Fans of Godflesh, Paradise Lost, and Ministry’s Filth Pig era will recognize the DNA, but not the outcome.

Lyrically, the album leans deep into folk horror and cosmic dread, pulling imagery from ancient fear and modern collapse. The result feels like a ritual broadcast from a decaying machine age.

Everything here is produced and mastered by Mirland himself. No gloss, no compromise, just engineered despair with weight behind every hit.
