Only about half a year has passed since the release of Kemopetrol’s Engine album, and the band is already back with a new EP. Titled Extra Life, the nine-track release features four brand-new songs along with five remixes from the album released in January.
With this new EP and their latest album, Kemopetrol continues to uphold the trailblazing status they established with their debut. The band’s signature sound remains intact: deep basslines and a dreamlike atmosphere blend seamlessly with Laura Närhi’s captivating vocals.
Kemopetrol, who released their debut album Slowed Down in 2000, has always followed their own path and rarely rushes out new releases. Engine was the band’s sixth full-length album. Though they’ve taken breaks lasting several years, every time they return, it feels as if they were never really gone.
