“Something’s in the Dark/She’s Gone” is a dark, heavy rock song inspired by a true experience in Nzondi’s life: five days after he married his teenage sweetheart, she died in a freak car accident. The song delves into the dark depths of his emotions during a long grieving period. Nzondi’s new release reached out to my soul, torn between the tragedy and heavy guitar riffs, I felt both sadness and the desire to groove.
