Based out of Rochester, New York, SCARLATAMUSIC is excited to announce their new album,Ascendance, which is available November 22nd, 2024. The album follows suit from SCARLATAMUSIC’s previous releases Metal-Baby(2020), Power Through (2022) and Skatepunk (2023). These projects have received critical acclaim from websites such as GBHBL, which stated, “Skatepunk is a fiery display of SCARLATAMUSIC’s heavier side. Drawing from an array of metal subgenres and styles, these three tracks build on the project’s previous releases and see SCARLATAMUSIC continue to push creative boundaries.” MXDWN.com also praised the work, noting, “Overall, the Rough & Tumble EP can be considered an instrumental masterclass with high-octane energy that has just enough tricks and flourishes to avoid becoming monotonous.”.

Ascendance runs for 14 minutes and 21 seconds, taking listeners on an electric, melody-driven journey. The whole album consists of rhythmic interplay between guitar and drums, invoking feelings of liberation. The album opens with fast paced start “Power Trip”, and keeps the energy up through “Locomotive”, until gears switch in the title track “Ascendance”. “Ascendance”, the title track and longest song on the album, provides a mellow touch before progressing into the final track, “Fallout”. The final track on this album picks the energy right back up via guitar riffs, and notes of drums, rounding out this album perfectly.

SCARLATAMUSIC’s front man, John Scarlata, performs, produces, mixes, masters, and engineers everything himself to give the unique musical variety that comes from SCARLATAMUSIC.

Located in Rochester, New York, SCARLATAMUSIC, a self-taught instrumentalist, produces dynamic tracks that show off a wealth of heavy and soaring styles. Song writing began in earnest back in 2016 and the summer of 2020 saw the release of the fully self-produced, debut EP Metal-Baby, followed by Power Throughin 2022, and Skatepunk released in January of 2023.
