Emerging from the Gulf Coast, Slow Degrade delivers a nostalgic yet modern take on alternative rock’s resurgence. Blending moody guitar riffs, melancholic synths, and heavy breakdowns, their sound feels both familiar and refreshingly new.
The band first gained traction in summer 2024 with the title track from their debut EP, “Who Will Fix Me Now?”, which saw a significant rise in popularity across social media platforms like TikTok, aligning perfectly with the wave of “nostalgia posting.”
Following their debut release, Slow Degrade dropped the collaborative single “Failing You” with Moodring in July 2025. In early 2026, the band announced their signing to Arson Theory and released their first single of the year, “lead me down.”—a track that deepens their signature atmospheric style while pushing into more aggressive territory.
