Sure, THE COCKS might be America’s favorite gay punk rock band (with only one gay member)—but they’re also a character-driven chaos machine begging for its own web series.

“There’s a bit of The Monkees or The Young Ones in what we do,” says frontman Zsa, “so spinning us off into a comedic web series makes sense—an absurdist version of our lives wouldn’t be much different from the real thing, just with better lighting and fewer parking tickets.”

The music video for their latest single, “Sugar on the Rim” dry-runs the idea, launching The Cocks’ penchant for debauchery into deep space—a campy mini-epic where the boys get roofied and shanghaied at an intergalactic drag bar.

“We wanted to make an old-school MTV-style concept video,” adds Zsa. “Not just the band performing, but a whole ridiculous story—drag queens, lasers, spaceships, and a decidedly on-brand… monolith. It’s part Star Trek, part John Waters, and unapologetically, spectacularly gay.”

THE COCKS’ sophomore album Endless Hummer lands in 2026, with more singles and videos arriving in the coming months. Consider “Sugar on the Rim” just the tip… of the iceberg.

Los Angeles punk-rock mischief-makers THE COCKS kick it into high gear with their latest single “Sugar on The Rim” – a slamming, hook-heavy burst of glam-punk that sets the tone for their upcoming album. Frontman Zsa explains, “On this one, we challenged ourselves to deliver a song in quadruple-entendre—something slamming and sexy that leaves you wondering if we’re talking about a margarita, their morning coffee, or, well…you know. I think we nailed it.”

The music video for “Sugar on the Rim” takes The Cocks penchant for debauchery into deep space—a campy mini-epic where the boys get roofied and shanghaied at an intergalactic gay bar. “We’ve been toying with the idea of a web series for a while, so we treated this as a test flight,” shares Zsa. “It’s part Star Trek, part John Waters, and unapologetically, spectacularly gay!”

Look for the release of THE COCKS debut album “Endless Hummer” in October, with an additional advance single and new video coming in late August!

“THE COCKS are a chaotic mix of things that shouldn’t go together—punk rock, glam, metal, and a dash of The Monkees. Oh, and were a gay punk band with only one gay member. But somehow, it all makes perfect sense.”

So says frontman Zsa, the loquacious ringleader of THE COCKS, a four-piece out of Los Angeles blending Ramones-style hooks, Motörhead grit, and Turbonegro swagger—all served up with cheeky wit at maximum volume. With songs like “It’s Better Being Gay,”“Cheeseburgers & Dick,” and “Brotein,” subtlety isn’t exactly the point. THE COCKS come in loud, fast, and unapologetically gay.

“The Cocks started off as a low-key side project,” says Zsa, “but by the time we had a full set, we realized we were accidentally a really great band.”

Joining Zsa in the madness are guitarist Tchad Drats, whose stinging licks and Johnny Thunders-inspired solos come wrapped in a guitar slung so low it breaks local ordinances; drummer Mike McCormick, a hard-hitting Canadian ex-pat who felt he “could only be fulfilled by joining a punk rock band that shamelessly celebrated gay sex”; and bassist Jason Halogen, the final piece of the puzzle.

“Jason’s the guy that keeps the whole thing locked down,” says Drats. “Besides being a total rock star, he’s the only one who ever remembers how the songs go.”

And then there’s Zsa himself—part David Lee Roth, part Bugs Bunny, 100% rock and roll showman, commanding center stage with air-siren vocals and his trademark sailor hat.

Since dropping their debut album Loads of Fun in 2022 — produced by SoCal punk legend Greg Hetson (Circle Jerks)— THE COCKS have made a name for themselves with high-octane live shows and a social media presence that plays like a chaotic, punk rock version of The Monkees. Their sophomore album, Endless Hummer, due October 2025 — promises more of the cheeky, unapologetic, celebratory spirit that continues to make THE COCKS a Southern California club favorite. Their message is clear: gay or straight, it’s all about the music and the rock ‘n roll party. And everyone is invited.
