The Designs are once again turning heads with their provocative video, “Porno Riot.”

— a striking, cinematic piece filmed in Modena, Italy. Directed by the band’s own Snovonne “Sno” Drake, the female half of the duo, the video captures the raw, provocative energy that has become The Designs’ unmistakable signature.

“We’ve known each other for years — our bands toured together often. In 2021, Billy asked me to direct some videos for his new album. Our creative chemistry was instant. Before we knew it, I was writing lyrics, recording vocals… and just like that, The Designs was born.”

“Porno Riot” features androgynous performer Domenico Martucci, who fans may remember from the band’s earlier video “More Than This.” Their captivating performance brings a bold presence to the screen, perfectly aligning with the video’s edgy aesthetic and fearless narrative.

Also making appearances are some close friends of the band: Emy and Zap from Billy’s former project JTR Sickert, and Pete Bales, who not only plays bass for The Designs but also performs with Snovonne.

While the video isn’t brand new, its message and energy still hit hard — and with new live dates on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to give “Porno Riot” the spotlight once more.

ABOUT THE DESIGNS

Alluring, seductive, and sonically daring, The Designs is the striking new project from renowned artists Billy T Cooper and Snovonne “Sno” Drake. This genre-blending duo merges decades of professional experience with high-impact visuals and emotionally gripping songwriting, offering listeners a full-sensory experience that defies convention.

As Sno explains:

In 2022, The Designs hit the road across Europe as main support for death-rock legends Christian Death, making waves with their theatrical presence and genre-defiant sound.

Now signed to Curtain Call Records (USA), The Designs are gearing up to release their debut album, [IN]VENT, this May — a fearless statement of identity, evolution, and creative liberation.
