Denver, CO – Metal Devastation PR and Decibel Magazine proudly present the official video premiere of “Tempted by the Necromancer” , the latest single from Denver-based extreme metal act Torn From Existence . The track is featured on their critically acclaimed debut full-length Hearken the Darkened Skies , available now on LP, CD, and digital formats.
Blending savage blackened death metal with cinematic grandeur, the new video plunges viewers into the sterile nightmare of Existence Corp. , where the banality of corporate life is transformed into a cursed, Lovecraftian HR ritual gone horribly wrong. The visual narrative—dripping with blood-soaked spreadsheets, ritual sacrifices in the breakroom, and SixSixSixSigma downsizing threats—serves as a macabre reflection of modern working life.
“Drudgery, futility, everything, nothing,” comments guitarist and founder David A. Couch . “A typical day at the office begs the question—how can five miscreants with no marketable job skills and a history of musical malpractice survive the day?”
Synth player and vocalist Rhiannon Wisniewski adds, “Torn From Existence hopes you’re tempted to join our very official business team at Existence Corp., where we do everything metal… and not much else.”
Directed with a flair for the theatrical and scored with punishing riffs, guttural growls, and eerie synth layers, “Tempted by the Necromancer” is both a cautionary tale and a bold artistic statement. Formed in 2021 and forged in the fires of Denver’s underground, Torn From Existence features the talents of Couch, Wisniewski, vocalist Craig Rosplock , bassist Bill Bohlen , and drummer Jeremiah Maynard . Hearken the Darkened Skies was produced by Shane Howard at Sawn and Quartered Studios and has been praised for its immersive, theatrical approach to extreme metal.
