Salt Lake City, UT –“Partners In Crime” is the funky pop-rock lead single off TYCOON MACHETE‘s upcoming album XENOBLASTER (out July 17th, 2026) is based on the 1913 romance of quack doctor, John R. Brinkley and Minnie Jones who helped bail John out of a jam after being caught in a “Electro-Medicine” fraud. They would marry and together they would commit the most infamous medical fraud in history, goat gland xenotransplantation.
XENOBLASTER, explores the exploits of quack doctor, J. R. Brinkley, who made his fortune transplanting goat testicles into hapless men. His rise to millionaire, radio pioneer, and politician becomes a dark looking glass into our current epoch of powerful con artists and bewilderment.

Founded by two Salt Lake City musicians, J. P. Whipple and James Perry, Tycoon Machete was created to explore the frontiers where flesh meets the machine. They are joined by synth master, Sean McCarthy, and local artist Erin Stout on bass and singing saw.
Avoiding conventional rock band format, the band features an eclectic mixture of instruments including a 1942 lap steel, 1890’s plectrum banjo, musical saw, synthesizers, and samplers. Live performances include psychedelic visuals from SLC artist, Murray Resinski.
