Today, genre-defying metal storytellers WARHOG premiere the official music video for “Stewards of a Broken World,” the haunting closing track from their latest EP, The Dystopian Chronicles Vol. III, which dropped June 27.
The video, available HERE, captures the stark emotional weight and relentless urgency of the song, an unflinching reflection on environmental collapse and human indifference. “Stewards” is a visceral reminder that we are the architects of our own decay, willingly pressing forward even as the world around us burns. With visuals that evoke the hotbed of political strife hastening the end, the video reinforces the track’s central message: we know exactly what we’re doing and we’re doing it anyway.

Originally written for a different release, “Stewards” was ultimately chosen to close out Vol. III, and the Chronicles trilogy as a whole, for its devastating resonance and thematic finality. The song channels WARHOG’s signature sound: epic, melodic, bruising, and mournfully defiant.
The Dystopian Chronicles Vol. III marks the climactic conclusion to WARHOG’s ambitious trilogy, a sweeping, furious, and uncomfortably honest exploration of humanity’s spiral into self-destruction. From the explosive rage of “Unleash the Beast” to the surreal psychic fallout of “Future Shock,” and the mournful confrontation of systemic injustice in “Hollow,” the EP is WARHOG at their most musically fearless and lyrically focused.
“Stewards of a Broken World” ties it all together, not with closure, but with confrontation. It doesn’t offer answers, it offers a mirror.
The new video cements WARHOG’s place as one of underground metal’s most fearless voices—equal parts storytellers, prophets, and post-apocalyptic chroniclers. For longtime fans of The Dystopian Chronicles, it’s a fitting farewell. For newcomers, it’s an entry point into a world that feels disturbingly close to our own.
