Fresh off the release of their critically acclaimed album Recontinue , Melbourne’s progressive fusion jazz thrash metal pioneers Alarum have announced two huge events for September 2025.

On Thursday, September 12 , Alarum will take the stage in Melbourne alongside Taiwan’s genre-defying Dharma 達摩樂隊 for an electrifying night of world-class musicianship and technical mastery.

Just one week later, from September 19–22 , Alarum will journey to the Dead Centre of Australia for Blacken Open Air 2025 — the nation’s most unique heavy music festival. Set under the dark skies of a new moon, Blacken brings together an incredible lineup of international icons, exclusive reunions, and homegrown heavyweights, including Earthless (USA) , Uada (USA) , Blood Duster (exclusive Australian reunion), Gutalax (CZ) , Brant Bjork Trio (USA) , Battlesnake , and more.
