New Jersey/New York, USA – August 15, 2025 – Legendary US Death Metal veterans DETERIOROT have unveiled the first single, cover art, and full tracklist for their highly anticipated fourth full-length album, “Awakening” , set for release on October 21, 2025 via Xtreem Music on CD, 12″ LP, cassette, and digital formats .

Founded in 1988 under the original name Mortuary and officially becoming DETERIOROT in 1989 , founding member, songwriter, composer, lead guitarist, and vocalist Paul Zavaleta helped establish the band as one of the pioneering forces of the NJ/NY Death Metal scene , alongside legends like Revenant, Ripping Corpse, Immolation, Incantation, and Mortician .
DETERIOROT’s sound merges atmospheric tones reminiscent of early Finnish and UK Death Metal with hints of Swedish-style brutality, layered over the raw intensity of 1990s NJ/NY Death Metal. This unique approach has cemented the band’s legacy and inspired a new wave of Old School Death Metal revivalists .
