Finnish hard rock band HÄ/DA has released its debut album – the feel-good hard rock album of the year is here

There’s two kinds of hard rock – the 1980s hair-metal variety that smells of hairspray and powder in spandex. That music is deliciously cheesy. And then there is the AC/DC-led jeans-and-T-shirt sporting school, where things are rougher, more straightforward, and primal.

The finnish band HÄ/DA is proudly under the banner of the latter camp. Their debut, the five-song EP (Almost) 20 Minutes Of Love, released in spring 2025, drew its inspiration unapologetically from the musical artistry of the Australian rock legends.

Now their debut album, Electric Knights Of Eternal Rock Fury, created by vocalist Antti “DeeAa” Heikkinen and guitarist Juho “Hässi” Hämäläinen, marches along the same proven path.

Especially in the instrumental department, the guiding principle is steadfastly “What would AC/DC do?”, meaning that there is absolutely zero prog-rocking in the riffs or rhythms. On the vocal side, however, the superhero tenor DeeAa has added, if possible, even more melodic hooks this time around. These songs will linger in your head!

“In our opinion, Electric Knights Of Eternal Rock Fury is the best feel-good hard rock album of the year. You can hear the influences, but we definitely have our own sound,” Hässi and DeeAa say.

The album features nine solid original compositions by the band, along with a rowdy cover version of the early-career Danko Jones classic “Cadillac”.

According to its creators, Electric Knights Of Eternal Rock Fury is a tight rock album that fits perfectly whenever the atmosphere needs a lift.

“These songs don’t wallow in depression, mental health problems, or war. The album offers a 33-minute-and-27-second hedonistic safe haven from the suffocating grip of the world’s evil,” the musicians describe.

There are three music videos off the album; the latest one, released simultaneously with the album, is for the opening track “Three Sheets To The Wind”.

HÄ/DA’s EP and singles have received radio airplay on FM and online radio stations in countries including the United States, France, Germany, England, and Scotland.

Hässi also performs with Dirty Deeds Indeed, one of Finland’s longest-running AC/DC tribute bands, as well as the hard-rock outfit Rane Rautiainen & Paha Kaksonen. DeeAa, meanwhile, is the vocalist and guitarist of the heavy-rock band Mosfite.

For the fans of: AC/DC, Airbourne, The Darkness, Rhino Bucket and Danko Jones.
